Was up to Austins recently for some of their great coffee ice cream and shot this scene through the Toyota filter with the I-Phone. I have some DSLR photos to sort through for next week, some insect and nature work. I\’ve been tied up working on some informal wedding photos that I shot for a friend but I have those finished now and they came back from the lab today looking fine. I used a borrowed lens from a friend and I have to say that my shot-to-keep-ratio was maybe the best ever. I think I can give nearly 300 photos for the occasion. When you think back to when we began shooting with film in the late 70s, our keeper-ratio wasn\’t anywhere that high plus you never could go above ISO400 with good quality. Now, my ISO 3200 shots will capture moments that you\’d miss otherwise and even the 6400 photos are usable in 4×6 size. Interesting things to think about as time goes on.
