Feels like real fall weather now, I\’m enjoying it much better than the summer. Been working on a few photography things, lighting being one of them, and missed a few days while working with this image to figure out a few issues, not all of which worked out. I\’m not sure of the wisdom of using a 16×6 format crop for a portrait but the tripod was a bit low with the resulting image being a Peter Hurley-like chopped-head portrait. In the wise words of my sister "Why are all portraits shot with chopped off heads anymore?" Probable answer: Peter Hurley. Does fantastic work.
"When Columbus returned from the New World and proclaimed
the earth was round, almost everyone else went right on
believing the earth was flat. Then they died- and the
next generation grew up believing the world was round.
That\’s how people change their mind."
