Missed a few days while dealing with normal things that come up in life, so posts will resume but a bit spotty now and then. I had hoped to photograph some pretty scenes this fall. One recently read article (or book, I forget) makes the point that you might try to change what you do, be it photography, reading, or even your work, but the world will make sure to bring you back to what you connect with. If you are the intellectual type, your story will come out in the books you read and the movies you watch. If you are into visual things like photography or other art- well you will often represent yourself in your pictures. Hmmm…will have to think about that some. So: at the root of it all, I am a worn out football. After a couple trips to the same quiet area for reading and photography, I attempted some landscape work, some photos of fall colors, and things like that. But I still came back with this football photo on both occasions. I think it would make a good subject for a story, an object full of potential but cast aside into the edge of the woods. Kids who outgrew it and went on to real leather football- some to succeed greatly while others would have been far better off to stick with this one and just have fun while observing the real talent elsewhere. Such is life.
Tomorrow, maybe some colorful leaf photos again.
