After quite an absence from here, a psychologist would certainly have something to say about the subject matter of today\’s photograph. While I was away, I finished up a couple books and studied black and white photography. I completed David Nightingale\’s course at Udemy and I can highly recommend it. I also worked through the black and white book by Vincent Versace and found it complex and confusing then decided that you really have to work at a computer while reading the book so any unfortunate reviews of it would not be fair. Now only if I could get into the black and white mood again.
Been listening to The Lumineers, here\’s a video at Youtube. Several scenes in it that would make good still shots, it\’s honest photography not slick commercial stuff. Hit HD and play it full screen.
"The secret of photography is, the camera takes on
the character and the personality of the handler.
The mind works on the machine- through it, rather."
Walker Evans photographer
